The Problem
Family caregivers face overwhelming complexity—managing medications, coordinating appointments, navigating insurance, and providing emotional support—often while juggling their own lives. They need help, but don't have time to learn new apps or read documentation.
The Exploration
Lighthouse is a voice-first AI companion designed to meet caregivers where they are: in the car, at the pharmacy, or sitting with their loved one. It provides:
- •Conversational guidance on medical decisions and care coordination
- •Emotional support during difficult moments
- •Practical task management (medication reminders, appointment scheduling)
- •Context-aware responses that remember previous conversations
What I'm Learning
- •Voice interfaces require different design patterns than visual UIs
- •Agentic AI systems need clear boundaries and fallback behaviors
- •Trust is earned through consistency and transparency, not just capability
- •The best AI tools feel like partners, not assistants
Status
Early prototype exploring voice interaction patterns and agentic workflows. Testing with family caregivers to understand what actually helps vs. what sounds good in theory.
